Geoffrey Mitchell is a collaborator researcher at both the Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering in Coimbra and the Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development in Marinha Grande in Portugal. He is the founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Visionary Equation, a startup company focused on the digitalisation of manufacturing and materials. His doctoral work was performed at the University of Cambridge UK and he carried out post-doctoral work at Hokkaido University, Japan. His diverse research spans physics, chemistry, life sciences and engineering with a strong focus on merging quantitative experimental procedures with manufacturing technologies such as reaction injection moulding and 3D printing, where he has developed the concept of morphology mapping. He is known for his pioneering in-situ time-resolving neutron and X-ray scattering techniques to evaluate the structural and morphological transformations in manufacturing He is current involved with the development of Operando X-ray scattering measurements during the injection moulding of semi-crystalline synthetic and biopolymers. He is intensively involved in recycling and the circular economy. Geoffrey Mitchell has edited several books including “Controlling the morphology of polymers” and “Electrospinning Principles, Practise and Possibilities” with a second edition scheduled for 2026. A book “Operando X-ray scattering measurements during polymer processing” is also scheduled for 2026.

Prof. Feng-Huei Lin is a leading figure in Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine, with an outstanding academic and research career spanning more than three decades. He earned his Ph.D. (1989), Master’s degree (1985), and Bachelor’s degree (1980) from National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan, specializing in Materials Science and Earth Science. He currently serves as a Researcher at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBEN), National Health Research Institute (NHRI) and as a Tenure Distinguished Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, National Taiwan University (NTU). Prof. Lin has previously held several major leadership positions, including Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at NHRI (2014–2022), Director of the Biomedical Engineering Division at NHRI (2008–2011), and Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at NTU (2005–2008). Prof. Lin has played an important editorial role in the scientific community, serving on the boards of the International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, and APL Bioengineering. He was also the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Biomedical Engineering (SCI) from 2007 to 2011. With over 500 SCI-indexed publications, an H-index of 72, and more than 19,000 citations, Prof. Lin is consistently ranked among the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University for four consecutive years, placing 32nd globally in Materials Science.

Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 135) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). He has formed over a dozen companies who have numerous FDA approved medical products currently improving human health in over 30,000 patients. He is currently helping those companies and serves as a professor at Brown University, Saveetha University, HebeiUniversity of Technology, UFPI, and others. Dr. Webster has numerous awards including: 2020, World Top 2% Scientist by Citations (PLOS); 2020, SCOPUS Highly Cited Research (Top 1% Materials Science and Mixed Fields); 2021, Clarivate Top 0.1% Most Influential Researchers (Pharmacology and Toxicology); 2022, Best Materials Science Scientist by Citations (Research.com); and is a fellow of over 8 societies.Prof. Webster is a former President of the U.S. Society for Biomaterials and has over 1,350 publications to his credit with over 55,000 citations. Prof. Magnus S. Magnusson, Ph.D., is an Emeritus Research Professor and founder of the Human Behavior Laboratory, University of Iceland. He developed the T-system, including T-pattern and THEMETM software for pattern detection. His interdisciplinary research spans biology, neuroscience, AI, nanoscience, and more, with collaborations across 40 universities. Former Deputy Director at the National Museum of Natural History, Paris, he has held visiting professorships at the University of Paris.

Prof. Fouad Damiri, PhD is a Professor at Hassan II University of Casablanca, Faculty of Sciences Ben M’Sick, Morocco. His research focuses on organic chemistry, polymer science, biomaterials, hydrogels, nanomaterials, and polysaccharide-based functional materials, with applications in drug delivery, tissue engineering, environmental remediation, and sustainable materials science. He has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in the fields of biomaterials, nanotechnology, and advanced polymer systems. His work has received over 1,900 citations with an h-index of around 24, reflecting his growing impact in polymer science and biomaterials. Dr. Yu-Chun Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at National United University, Taiwan. Her research focuses on engineering advanced hydrogel platforms for tissue repair, with particular emphasis on conductive biomaterials and cell-instructive systems. She received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from National Taiwan University, where she developed injectable hyaluronic acid-based hydrogels for intervertebral disc regeneration. She subsequently conducted research in the Department of Orthopedics at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, specializing in cartilage repair and translational regenerative strategies. Dr. Chen’s current research integrates material design with biological functionality, spanning orthopedic applications, vitreous substitutes, and electrically conductive hydrogels for wound healing. Her work aims to bridge fundamental biomaterials science with clinical applications.

Dr. Andrea Adamne Major, PhD. is professor at John von Neumann university in Kecskemet, Hungary. She is a researcher in the field of polymer nanocomposites, with a primary focus on the preparation and investigation of carbon nanotube–based systems. Their research centers on understanding structure–property relationships, dispersion mechanisms, and performance enhancement of polymers through nanoscale reinforcement. Through extensive experimental work, Dr. Andrea Adamne Major has contributed to advancing the development of high-performance nanocomposites for advanced engineering and functional applications.

Dr. Maria Fuencisla Gilsanz Munoz is a PhD in Biomedicine and Health Sciences, Degree in Chemistry, and Diploma in Physics, she is a professor and researcher at the European University of Madrid since 2014 and Coordinator of the Physics Degree. Her research at the Faculty of Medicine focused on pharmacogenetics in oncological diseases, and she currently works at the STEAM School on the synthesis and development of nanomaterials for biomedical applications. She has over 10 years of prior experience in private companies in physicochemical laboratories in the areas of microbiology, biochemistry, and quality control.

Dr. Wei-Ju Huang is an Assistant Professor at Hsin-Sheng College of Medical Care and Management, Taiwan. She holds a Ph.D. in Physiology from National Yang-Ming University (2009) and completed postdoctoral training at Taipei Veterans General Hospital. Dr. Huang’s research focuses on gastrointestinal physiology, endocrinology, and drug–microbiota–biopolymer interactions. Yuan Tseng (Oval Tseng) is a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering at National Taiwan University, Taipei, with an expected graduation in 2026. Her research focuses on ophthalmic viscosurgical devices (OVDs), cell sheet engineering, articular cartilage and myocardial regeneration, and microfluidic organ-on-a-chip systems. She holds an M.S. in Medical Sciences from Taipei Medical University and a B.S. in Biotechnology and Animal Science from National Ilan University. Yuan Tseng has authored peer-reviewed publications in leading biomaterials journals and has received several honors, including the ARCA Medal at iENA 2024 in Germany. She actively presents her work at international conferences and has training in translational research, medical devices, and biodesign.

Dr. Dou Zhang is an Assistant Researcher and M.S. Supervisor at Harbin Institute of Technology, China. Her research focuses on the mechanical behavior of shape memory polymer (SMP) composites and their application-oriented validation, with particular emphasis on constitutive behavior, thermo-mechanical coupling, and structure-function integration for deployable mechanisms. The SMP-based locking-and-release deployment mechanism developed by her team enabled the first dynamic unfurling of the national flag on China’s inaugural Mars mission, Tianwen-1. This achievement was selected as one of the “Top Ten Scientific and Technological Advances of Chinese Higher Education Institutions” in 2021.

Dr. Makpal Bostubayeva is a PhD and Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Agriculture and Forestry, S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University, Kazakhstan. Since 2015, she has been actively involved in teaching and research activities in the fields of ecology, agroecology, climate change adaptation, environmental management, and sustainable agriculture. Dr. Bostubayeva is currently the Principal Investigator of the research project “Development and Testing of a Biodegradable Hydrogel for Reducing Stress in Cereal Crops under Climate Change Conditions” funded under the Young Scientists Grant Program of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2025–2027). Her research focuses on biodegradable hydrogels, biopolymers derived from agricultural and cellulose-containing waste, soil water conservation technologies, circular bioeconomy, and climate-resilient agriculture. She is the author and co-author of more than 25 scientific publications, including papers indexed in Scopus and Web of Science databases. Dr. Bostubayeva has participated in several national and international research projects, including initiatives on waste management, water and climate resilience, and sustainable natural resource management. Her current research integrates biomaterials science, soil ecology, and agricultural biotechnology, with particular emphasis on the development of biodegradable polymeric materials for improving soil moisture retention and reducing the impacts of climate change on crop production. She also supervises undergraduate and graduate research projects and contributes to international scientific cooperation in the fields of biopolymers, environmental sustainability, and circular economy.

Ali Dahmane is a polymer engineer from Algeria, currently serving as a Chemical Engineer and Quality Control Specialist at ELKADERPLAST in Oran. He holds a Master’s degree in Polymer Materials with a specialization in Process Engineering from Ferhat Abbas 1 University, Sétif, where he researched the synthesis of unsaturated polyester resin from PET. His expertise covers polymer processing, resins and composites, and advanced characterization techniques, with professional experience across industry and research.

Dr. Jason Lin is currently a Researcher in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at National Taiwan University. He earned his Ph.D. in the Department of Biomedical Engineering from National Taiwan University. His research expertise includes Biomaterials, Drug Delivery Systems, Bioceramics, and Composite Materials. In June 2024, he received the Best Poster Award at the 2024 Biomaterials International Conference held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dr. Ishu Chaudhary is a National Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. I earned my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, following an M.Tech from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and a B.Tech from Banasthali University. My research focuses on the rheology of complex fluids and soft matter, integrating rheometric experiments with constitutive modeling to understand structure–flow relationships.
